Whitney Boyce-Petrey
Owner, Head Trainer & Rider
Whitney Boyce-Petrey is a nationally recognized hunter/jumper trainer and competitor. She has worked and competed in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. She and her family are longtime residents and native to the New Orleans area. She is acquiring an established equestrian facility as home base for her business and family in Folsom.
Whitney maintains an active show schedule with her clients and finds horses that are great matches for her customers. She maintains a staff of qualified grooms and horsemen and women to maintain her operation, horses and facilities.
emily Taylor
Assistant Trainer & Rider
Emily Taylor’s love of horses began in her young childhood. With relatives that owned and rode horses, she was signed up for riding lessons at five years old and competed in AHSA rated Small Pony Hunter division. She attended Louisiana State University and rode competitively in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association where she qualified for the Cacchione Cup and National championships in 2008, 2009 and 2010. After graduating from LSU, Emily took on an assistant trainer position at Wildwood Farm and became a USEF recognized professional. She has a passion for horsemanship that begins in the stall and stable before you get to sit in the saddle. Emily has owned her horse Aiden for 12 years and counting and believes the continuous care to keep him content has taught her how to best groom the show horses at Summer Haven Stables.
